Give your child the gift of language!

Life at the LFS

Our immersion program seeks to sharpen each child’s intellectual abilities by using a second language as a medium of instruction, helping the children to develop their full potential. Each child’s individuality and creativity is honored and encouraged, which helps our young learners develop self-esteem.

We maintain an environment in which positive reinforcement is provided and children are able to make choices. Respect for one another is at the core of our philosophy, and conflicts are resolved with redirection, communication, and mutual respect.

LFS is dedicated to small class sizes and personalized attention, basing the level of instruction on each child’s interest and abilities. We are also passionate about forging connections between family, community, and environment, and supporting cultural awareness in our students. Children are encouraged to explore their own creativity and individuality through activities and projects in the areas of art, music, storytelling, discovery science, and physical and environmental education. The French language is learned gradually as children hear it spoken throughout the day.
